HELPING a cancer charity not once but twice proved to be a snip for one kind-hearted schoolgirl.
Eight-year-old Naimh Farrar plucked up the courage to have her second ever haircut, to lose her long locks for a good cause.
The youngster, of Chapel Road, Rainsough, wanted to help cancer sufferers who were the same age as her.
She has not only raised £200 for the Little Princess Trust, but is also donating her hair to the charity so it can be made into a wig.
Naimh, who goes to Butterstile Primary School in Prestwich, had her hair cut at Hers and Sirs in Whittaker Lane last week, accompanied by her proud mother Kelli.
Ms Farrar, aged 34, said: "Naimh is a very conscientious, caring little girl and she has done really well.
“She has been asking all her classmates to sponsor her and she is over the moon with the amount she has raised as her original target was £50.
"Doing something for others is right up Naimh's street and her new haircut looks wonderful. We are all delighted for her."
