A SOCIAL enterprise has received a £750 boost to help revamp its garden and allotment area in Prestwich.

Homebuilder Taylor Wimpey donated the money to Turning Point to help improve the outdoor area at its Leigh Bank Residential Rehab.

Turning Point is a social enterprise, providing services which focus on improving the lives of those dealing with issues relating to mental health, learning disabilities and substance misuse.

Sianne Donovan, business development manager in substance misuse at Turning Point , said: “We’re a social enterprise dedicated to helping people make positive changes in their lives.

“I was delighted when Taylor Wimpey decided to support Turning Point with this generous donation.

“It has helped us to breathe new life into the garden and allotment area at Leigh Bank, and it has been fantastic to see people we support enjoying working in the space once more.”

The donation is the latest in a series of investments that the homebuilder has made in the local community since opening its Kings Grange development in Audenshaw, where Sianne

lives.

Chloe Dunn, associate sales director for Taylor Wimpey Manchester, said: “When Sianne mentioned the work that she does with Turning Point, we were keen to help.

“We are no strangers to rejuvenating outdoor areas and so we were delighted to help them with this project.”
