TWO people including a Prestwich woman have been charged after a pensioner was targeted in his own home.

Chantelle Doherty, aged 21, of Clifton Road, Prestwich, has been charged with one count of burglary and one count of fraud.

In addition, Martin Lawrence, aged 25, of no fixed abode, has been charged with three counts of burglary and one count of fraud.

The charges relate to a 92-year-old man being allegedly targeted at his Pendlebury home three times earlier this month.

An arrest warrant has also been issued for Lawrence because he failed to attend court, after being charged with burglary, theft from person and two counts of fraud in relation to offences against a 99-year-old man at his Salford home in February.

Lawrence is set to appear at Manchester and Salford magistrates’ court today, and Doherty is due to appear at Manchester Crown Court on December 23.
