POLICE in Salford are urging victims of hate crime not to suffer in silence.
People who do not want to go to a police station can report incidents at one of 29 hate crime reporting centres in Salford.
The centres will help officers devise strategies to prevent and deter hate crime offenders and reduce the chances of people becoming repeat victims.
They can also offer support and advice.
To find out where the nearest reporting centre is, call Hate Crime liaison officer Howard Lawrenson on 0161 856 5139, Victim Support on 0161 727 0230 or visit www.salford.gov.uk/hatecrime
