TALENTED pupils from Whitefield’s Elms Bank Specialist Arts College made their mark in a popular musical extravaganza.
Salford’s Lowry Theatre hosted the sixth annual Inscape Summer Music Festival with children from a host of special schools performing contemporary music and songs in a professional concert setting.
The event showcased a selection of songs including We’ve all got something to give, a specially composed piece by Peter Adamson, music co-ordinator at Inscape.
The concert provided the opportunity for members of the public as well as families to listen to the musical talents of the young people. Elms Bank youngsters took to the stage and won applause from the audience for their stint.
Helen Hewitt, director of educational services for the children’s charity Together Trust said: “The pupils worked extremely hard to prepare for the Inscape Summer Music Festival and their enthusiasm shone through when performing live on the day.”
