Rare insight into local history

RARE artefacts offering a valuable insight into the history of Prestwich will go on display in an exhibition on July 12.
From 9.30am to 12.30pm at Prestwich Library in the Longfield Centre, amateur historian Craig Brisbane will be showing off a wide range of items including old postcards and other objects relating to the town’s history. Among the weird and wonderful items on display will be an old cannonball and an inscribed chicken’s egg in a casket.
