Ramsbottom chef fights for life after serious assault

A 32-YEAR-OLD chef is still in a “critical” condition after being seriously assaulted in Ramsbottom .

Farhad Ghassemi was punched and kicked in the head minutes after leaving the town’s award-winning Ramsons Restaurant where he works. Police found the man unconscious after being called to the junction of Bridge Street and Bolton Street at 11pm on Friday following reports of a fight. He sustained a bleed to the brain and remains in intensive care at Salford’s Hope Hospital.

Two men, aged 21 and 23, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

A statement on Ramsons website reads: “As you may have heard from the news, Farhad, our second chef, was brutally attacked as he left work on Friday night.”

Awful sad news lets hope he makes a full recovery soon and justice is done on the monsters that have inflicted such pain.

Ramsbottom is getting more popular and yet people like this bring it down. Maybe GMP should look at manning the police station on a full time basis!!!
