A WOMEN’S guild raised thousands of pounds to help adults suffering from depression and other mental health issues.
Tottington Townswomen’s Guild handed over a cheque for £1,750 to BiG in Bury, a voluntary organisation providing mental health recovery.
The funds were raised by hosting a plant sale and cream tea, a race day, several coffee mornings, raffles, tombolas, book sales, and a spring luncheon.
Donna Webb, trustee at BiG, said: “We were amazed at the amount and extremely grateful for this donation.
“On behalf of everyone at BiG, I would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to the guild for all their hard work in raising this fantastic amount.” She said the donation will go towards the cost of room hire and refreshments for the support groups to continue.
