THE performance of every secondary school is revealed today.

The department for education has released its annual performance league tables showing how well schools have done.

Overall in Bury 57.3 per cent left school with the benchmark five or more A*to C GCSEs including English and maths, above the national average of 53.5 per cent.

The top performing school is Bury Grammar School Girls, where 94 per cent achieved the standard. The best performing state school based on the Government’s data is Manchester Mesivta School, where 69 per cent left school with a good set of results.
