SUPERJOSH founder Dawn Fidler brings you her latest blog

I WOULD like to start by saying a massive thank you to our patron, Sacha Lord Marchionne, and everyone at the Warehouse Project for their continued incredible support for Josh's Charity and the families we support.

Amazingly, they have raised £1,615 in their first three weekends.

These donations are going to help us transform a garden for one of our families whose child has a brain tumour and urgently needs wheelchair access.

Last week, we were delighted to be able to donate a SuperJosh entertainment package to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

A few weeks ago, I found out that the ICU didn’t have any TVs or radios, due to lack of funding. Knowing how much Josh and his friends at RMCH relied on their iPads, etc, during their stays, I knew we had to do something, and thanks to the amazing guys over at Insight UK Manchester, we could.

The team has been getting involved in a variety of activities, including running events and Tough Mudder all to raise funds for SuperJosh.

Thanks to their efforts, and the support they have received we were able to make this special donation. It means so much to the children, their families, but also to the staff who work with them and support them on a day to day basis.

On Saturday, a group of us set off early to tackle Scafell Pike in the Lake District as part of my 14 challenges for my amazing boy.

At 978 metres above sea level, this is the highest mountain in England, and our legs certainly felt it on the way back down.

It was a great experience, lots of fun but really hard work!

I’d like to say a huge thanks to everyone involved, especially Large Outdoors and our trek leader, Hayley Webb.

It was a hard slog, but the October weather was stunning. Here's hoping my legs recover in time for my next challenge this weekend!

A limited number of tickets are now on sale for the 2016 Pride of Bury Awards night and they can be purchased at joshwilson.org.uk/shop

It is going to be such a special evening celebrating with our award finalists and their families!

Finally, masses of good luck to our team Jumping for Josh in the Lake District and to our team of 14 Manchester Half Marathon runners this weekend.

It is going to be an amazing event, and I can’t wait to get to crawl over the finish line. We have had huge support — feel free to come on down to cheer us on!
