BLAZE: Firefighters tackled a thatched barn roof on fire in Hollymount Lane, Greenmount
FIREFIGHTERS have combated a thatched roof fire at a barn on a farm.
Crews from Bury, Whitefield and Ramsbottom attended the blaze at Holly Mount Farm in Hollymount Lane, Greenmount.
The alarm was raised at 5.10pm.
The firefighters called North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) at 6.45pm and a rapid response vehicle was despatched.
A spokeswoman for NWAS said there was no log yet of a patient being treated.
