SUPERJOSH founder Dawn Fidler brings you her latest blog

I WOULD like to say thank you to a special group of children who have raised more than £185 by holding a SuperJosh raffle and selling their toys to their friends and neighbours.

Becky Simpson, mum to Amélie and Molly, told me that the fundraising initiative was totally the groups own idea, they just asked her to get them some raffle tickets and a bucket.

They've done a fantastic job — I hope they are feeling very proud. The money they've raised will be used to help provide a hospital play package to the children's day unit at Fairfield Hospital in Bury. I'm hoping they will come with me when we present the goodies.

I love to see children and young people fundraising, it's such an important life skill learning to do things to help others and to see what a difference it makes.

As part of my #Challenge14forJosh challenges last Thursday, I completed Yorkshire 3 Peaks with Large Outdoors. This involved taking on three peaks, (aka 26 miles) in 13 hours. It was tough and we almost had to bail after the second mountain as my feet and legs didn't want to play, but we pushed through and although I was painfully slow, we did all three.

I have to say a massive thanks to my trek buddy, John Bakewell, from Bakewell Carpet Care. He's a legend and helped so many people during the trek. I couldn't have done it without him and am so proud of what we achieved.

Thank you so much to Wingate Signs for our SJ flags — they look fab and created loads of awareness up on those hills. If you would like to donate to our fundraising effort you can do so here:

This Sunday, we are holding another car boot sale, this time at The Village Hotel. Set up starts at 9am, and we will be open to the public 10am to 2pm. Cars are £12 each and vans are £15. To purchase a slot, please go to our website and remember all sale proceeds come directly to the charity.

Also on Sunday afternoon it's the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital 3rd Faces of Ward 84 party. This is for families from Ward 84 that have had treatment on the ward (both past and present) and children who were treated at Pendlebury Children's Hospital which was where we started our journey with Josh.

There will be more than 100 families there and Josh's charity will be donating the magic, Face painting and balloon modelling on the day to help with the festivities.

You can donate to The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity by simply texting SJBT13 followed by £1, £2, £5 or £10 to 70070
