Officers are also looking to trace dark-coloured BMW 5 Series, the registration of which starts MD06, which arrived on the scene shortly before police arrived and drove off with two Asian men and two white men who had been the occupants of the VW Bora.

Detective Inspector Charlotte Cadden said: “We are still in the early stages of this investigation, but we are now starting to piece together what exactly happened in this incident.

“It appears the VW Bora was chased for a short period by the a silver Seat Leon and a white Hyundai and a fight broke out between the occupants of the vehicles on the street.

Bury Times:

“We already have a number of witnesses assisting with our investigation, but we need any members of the public who believe they saw something to come forward and help us.

“Any piece of information could be useful, so I would ask that if you were in the area at the time, that you tell police what you saw.

“Extra patrols are now in place in the area, and there a number of scenes which are currently being secured by officers.”
