A NURSERY recognised for its value to the community is celebrating after receiving its Ofsted report.

Chantlers Pre-school, in Foulds Avenue, Bury, received a ‘good’ rating after it was inspected in September.

The nursery was praised for its management and enthusiastic staff which offer good support to children to help them to develop, after its inspection in September.

Inspector Joanne Parrington said: “Setting-in procedures for new children are strong. Children are very happy and display lots of confidence in the pre-school environment.

“Staff are enthusiastic practitioners and provide children with a good range of activities which they enjoy taking part in.

“Children are eager to learn and discover new skills. All children make good progress in their learning, regardless of their age or capabilities.

“The pre-school is well established within the community, with many parents returning with younger siblings.

“Parents speak very positively about the care their children receive and guidance they get to support their child’s learning at home.”

Manager Julia Coles said: “We want to highlight how proud we are of the standard that we got.

“New standards came in in September 2015 so we will have most likely been one of the first to be inspected under the new guidelines and it’s great that we were able to maintain our good rating.

“We will be working to becoming an outstanding nursery and always strive to deliver the best service and care we can.

“I just want to thank the parents and the committee for their support.”
