A WOMAN who died in a motorcycle crash has been named.
Samantha Higham, 44, who was believed to be from Bury, was in a crash on the A165 Coastal Road near Burniston, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, at about 10.45am on September 13.
North Yorkshire Police said a blue Citroen Xsara Picasso was travelling north on the road when it was in collision with a red Yamaha motorbike travelling in the same direction.
Samantha, who lived in Accrington, was the pillion passenger and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The rider of the motorbike, a man in his forties, was seriously injured and the driver of the car - a man from Yorkshire in his forties - was uninjured.
Anyone who saw any of the vehicles prior to the crash, or has information which could assist police, should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
