AN off-road biker was airlifted to hospital after an accident in Bury on Sunday.
A North West Air Ambulance helicopter was forced to land in a children’s play area off Halsall Close in Limefield, near to a quarry site at Sandhills where the casualty was. He was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester.
A spokeswoman for the air ambulance said they were called out to a biking incident at 4.20pm in Bury involving a male in his 20s who had suspected chest injuries. The man’s condition is not known at this stage.
Residents in the area say they have being plagued by off-road motocross and quad bikers.
