A SINGING star is hoping support from the people of Bury can see her through to the final of Britain's Got Talent this week.

Enola Dyer, of Radcliffe Road, is part of girl band Misstasia, who will be competing in the live semi-finals of the TV talent show on ITV either tonight or tomorrow.

The 24-year-old performer set up the group with her three friends Katie Lawrence, Rosie Hale, Georgie Jackson last year and they have impressed the show's judges enough to see them through to the semi-finals at Fountain Studios, Wembley.

Enola, who attended Castlebrook High School and Bury College, said: "We first auditioned in front of the judges in February in London, and we are all so grateful to them for sending us through to this stage.

"It's been hard work and we are all a bit nervous ahead of the live show, but at the same time we're really excited."

The group have adopted a Disney theme for their performances so far, which has gained a mixed reaction from the celebrity panel.

But Enola, who won acclaim for her performance as Belle in the Bolton Albert Halls production of Beauty and the Beast in 2012, is expecting their semi final display to wow the judges and prove that the group aren't just for kids.

She added: "Amanda Holden really likes us and gave us a standing ovation along with the audience at our first audition, but Simon Cowell said that he thinks our target audience is just three to five year-olds.

"We want to come back this week and prove him wrong, even though we will be sticking with our Disney theme.

"Hopefully all of the kids in Bury who like us will be forcing their parents to vote so we can get through to the finals."

Misstasia will be performing on either Thursday or Friday, at 7.30pm on ITV, and you can follow them on Twitter @Misstasialand
