IT'S all aboard for Thomas and Friends at East Lancashire Railway next month.

The famous blue engine will be making his first appearance of the year at Bolton Street Station between Saturday May 2 and Monday May 4.

Visitors can take a ride with Thomas along his own private stretch of track, meet the Fat Controller as well as Percy, Mavis, Bulgy and Diesel and enjoy unlimited travel on steam and diesel trains.

They can also visit the Imagination Station for Thomas-themed colouring and drawing, tabletop games and film screenings. The event will also include magic shows, circus skills workshops, live scenarios, and face painting.

The Day Out with Thomas event already has a 10 per cent increase in ticket sales compared to the same time last year.

Kate Walker, marketing manager of the East Lancashire Railway (ELR), said: “Thomas is gearing up for his first of three visits to the ELR. Our Day Out with Thomas events are a real highlight in our annual events calendar and are a truly fantastic experience for Thomas fans, young and old, as the magic of the stories are brought to life.”

Tickets are available at £18 per adult, £10 per child and £46 per family (two adults and up to three children) with children under two free.

Tickets can be booked online at www.eastlancsrailway.co.uk or by calling 0161 764 7790.
