DISCLOSURE and Rudimental have been revealed as the headline acts rocking a major music festival in Heaton Park this summer — and tickets are on sale now.

They will perform on June 6 and 7 at the Parklife Weekender, along with dozens of other artists such as Wu Tang Clan, Mark Ronson, Ben Howard and Metronomy.

DJs performing over the weekend include Richie Hawtin, Annie Mac, Duke Dumont and Eats Everything.

In total, there are more than 100 musicians and groups performing over the weekend, with other notable acts signed up to appear including Labrinth, Nas, Grace Jones, Everything Everything, Fatboy Slim, Tiga, Seth Troxler, James Blake, George Ezra, Jessie Ware, Caribou and Jamie Jones.

More than 10,000 'early bird' tickets have already been sold and the next batch of tickets are on sale now via parklife.uk.com, priced at £89.50 for the weekend and £54.50 for the day, as well as booking fees.

There are 70,000 tickets on sale for each day.

On Twitter, Disclosure said: "We're very hyped to be coming back to Manchester to headline Parklife Festival!" and Rudimental added: "We're buzzing to be back performing at Parklife this year."

The Courteeners will headline a sold-out 20,000 capacity show in the same arena the day before - June 5.

In response to criticism about the way the concerts are staged, festival organisers have created a community taskforce to address problems raised by the park's neighbours.

The taskforce leader, Ben Turner, has been meeting ward councillors and is drawing up a plan to handle traffic, parking, noise, anti-social behaviour, unlicensed street vendors and other issues.

Councillor Alan Quinn said: "I am encouraged by the formation of the taskforce but we are at a very early stage and there is a great deal of work today before the start of June.

"It is vital that the people who live and work near the park not only have their voices heard but also see real action both before the festival to avoid problems and during it to stop problems as soon as they arise."
