BROAD Oak High School has closed for pupils today because of the winter weather.
In a post on its website, the school said the site was unsafe because of "heavy ice".
No other schools across the borough are reported to have shut for the day.
Bury was hit by fresh snow overnight, and motorists faced delays on the M60 and M66 due to heavy traffic caused by the weather conditions.
