A LANDSCAPE gardener's van was torched in a suspected arson attack.
The Ford Transit van was set alight at about 11.30pm last night while it was parked in Bridge Street in Bury, near to the junction with Kay Street.
The van contained lawnmowers and other equipment needed for the owner’s gardening business, all of which was destroyed in the blaze.
The van itself suffered 100 per cent damage after the blaze engulfed the engine compartment and the inside of the vehicle.
Two other vehicles that were parked near the van also suffered some damage during the incident.
Firefighters spent 45 minutes using hose reels and breathing apparatus to put out the blaze.
Police were called to the scene and an investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
