POLICE are hunting a vicious thug who robbed a man at knifepoint in Bury.

The robber targeted a 28-year-old man in Kitchener Street at 4.40pm on Tuesday by pulling out a knife and pressing it to his throat.

He stole his victim's iPhone 4s mobile phone and some cash before kicking him in the stomach, threatening him and running off.

Police say the attacker has olive skin, aged in his late 20s, about 6ft, with a smooth complexion, dark eyes and dark eyebrows.

He had an athletic build and was wearing a sleeveless blue bubble jacket and three-quarter-length blue trousers.
