IT promises to be the "perfect 10" for next year's Forever Bury Beer Festival, which is back on the calendar.

The popular event will notch up its first decade when it is staged at the Bury Social Club at the JD Stadium between May 14 and 16, 2015.

Forever Bury chairman Dave Giffard has been organising the annual Forever Bury Beer Festival single-handedly since 2005, although because of problems securing a venue this year, the event did not take place.

The nine festivals to date have brought in more than £103,000.

Dave said: "I remember when I started the first one, thinking that it would get easier each year. But due to the ever growing popularity of the event, it’s grown and grown. We now have around 60 beers, 10 ciders and an extensive German bottled beer bar."

He is determined to make the 10th Forever Bury Beer Festival the biggest yet and hopes to smash the previous fundraising of more than £17,000, generated in 2009.

Dave would like to hear from anyone who would like to get involved by taking on one of the many sponsorship packages or to advertise in the A5 full colour programme.

He added: “We get people from all over the country coming back each year, along with many visitors from Europe and even further afield.

"So far, I’ve got around a dozen sponsors from the Bury area and around the same number from as far away as Castle Douglas. But I still need to find a festival sponsor, several associate sponsors and about 50 sponsors for the beers and ciders”.
