AN animal lover who has space in their heart and home for a new friend is being urged to get in touch with the RSPCA.

Staff at the RSPCA Bury and Oldham adoption centre are desperate to re-home a special cat who has been in the cattery for more than seven months.

Lisa Walsh, centre manager, said staff are “bewildered” as to why adorable black moggy Tara is yet to find a home.

Tara was brought into the centre from the RSPCA animal hospital in Salford with two other cats after inspectors rescued them.

She watched as companions found new homes and is now becoming stressed by the cattery environment so is in desperate need of a family of her own.

Lisa said: “Tara is a rather special cat, who needs a special person that will give her the chance of a loving forever home.

“She is fed up of spending her life in the cattery environment and needs to be in a loving home, exploring her new surroundings and enjoying her life to the fullest with no limitations.

“The staff are really bewildered as to why she hasn’t found her forever home yet, as Tara is quite simply adorable.”

Lisa said Tara is a healthy and lovable cat with lots of energy and a big personality.

She can be extremely playful and loves chasing toys, but is also very loving who is happy to be stroked and adores a cuddle.

Lisa added: “She is an affectionate girl and will let you know when it is Tara time by climbing over you rubbing against you and purring loudly in your ear.

“She can be a bit of a mischief-maker and she enjoys spending a lot of time in the fresh air.

“This black beauty would make the purr-fect companion for most households.”

Anyone interested in adopting Tara or any other animal can call the RSPCA Bury, Oldham and District Branch on 0161 624 4725 between the hours of 11.30pm and 3.30pm any day except Wednesday.
