THREE teenagers have been charged with stabbing a man after he confronted yobs who were throwing stones.
Two 15-year-olds, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and Kian Heap, aged 18, of Walmersley Road, Bury, have charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and violent disorder.
They appeared before Bury Magistrates yesterday.
An 18-year-old and 17-year have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and bailed until October 20.
A 17-year-old was arrested and has been released without charge.
The charges relate to an incident that happened at about 1.30am on Saturday in which a number of people were said to have thrown stones at the window of a house in Kingfisher Drive.
A man was later stabbed repeatedly after chasing yobs from the house, police said.
