A MAN was left traumatised after a thug hurled a beer glass at him, injuring his hands and face.
The 29-year-old victim was smoking a cigarette outside the Turf Hotel pub in Wash Lane, Bury, at about 10pm on Saturday, March 13.
Two men walked out of the pub and an argument broke out between them and the victim.
One of the two men threw a pint glass at the victim, who shielded his face with his hands, causing the glass to smash.
Shards of glass cut his hands and face, narrowly missing his eyes.
The man who threw the glass ran off. He was white, with shaved hair, stocky, aged about 20 and about 5ft 8in tall, wearing a red and grey-hooped polo T-shirt, tracksuit bottoms and trainers.
The second man was 6ft 3in tall with dark brown short hair and wore a multi-coloured short-sleeved T-shirt.
Det Insp Lynne Vernon said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a man who was simply minding his own business.
“He was traumatised. He could have suffered very serious injuries as a result of this senseless assault and could even have been blinded.”
