Two wards in line for top prizes

WARD 14 at Fairfield Hospital and ward F6 at North Manchester Hospital could win awards for excellence.
They have been shortlisted in the Lean Healthcare Academy’s second annual awards.
They have both won through to the finals in the independent project of the year section. Both hospitals are run by Pennine Acute NHS Trust.
More than 100 projects from healthcare bodies which have adopted Lean as a foundation stone for sustainable service transformation have been entered. Winners will be announced at an awards dinner in Leeds today.
