St Bernadette’s pupils scoop top sport cups

THEY are all good sports at St Bernadette’s RC Primary School — and they have got the trophies to prove it.

Youngsters from the Abingdon Avenue school in Whitefield gave their counterparts elsewhere a run for their money during a local sporting event.

They emerged the overall winners in the keenly-contested Prestwich and Whitefield Junior Schools’ Sports Association athletics meeting held at Parrenthorn High School.

St Bernadette’s lifted the coveted Gabriel Cup, which was awarded to the overall winner of the day.

The school was also presented with another top trophy for lower junior pupils.
