THIS was the dramatic moment a gyrocopter crashed close the M60 in Simister injuring the passenger and the pilot.
The £40,000 light aircraft struggled on take off and plummted 30ft to the ground near to Egypy Lane at 2.30pm on Saturday, July 4.
The 17-year-old passenger was taken to hospital with minor back injuries. The 52-year-old pilot sustained minor injuries but declined hospital treatment.
"An incident like this has never happened before at our club," said Robert Tomlin, of Bury Metro Model Flying Club.
