THERE will be no summertime blues for youngsters of Besses Children’s Centre in Whitefield.
Thanks to Metrolink, children from the Ribble Drive centre will be exploring attractions around Greater Manchester during the holidays.
Metrolink is providing a number of days out for families who regularly use the centre — around 700 families visit it every month.
The centre is only a short walk from the Whitefield tram stop.
Philip Purdy, Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive’s Metrolink director, said: “We are always keen to support the local community and Besses Children’s Centre is a fantastic organisation that supports both adults and children.
“We hope that those who call to the centre in the coming months take advantage of the support available this summer.
“Greater Manchester has a lot to offer and the Metrolink is a fast, flexible and hassle free way to get around.”
Jill Williams, manager at Besses Children’s Centre, said: “The Whitefield tram stop is just a short distance away from us and is regularly used by the families who visit the centre.
“Having the support of Metrolink means a lot to us. We are very grateful for all that Metrolink has done.”
