Services on the West Coast Main Line have been severely disrupted after a landslip in Cumbria.
A landslip at Shap summit - the highest point of the line - between Oxenholme and Penrith, forced the closure of a section of track on Sunday.
Heavy rain and wind led to boulders “shifting” posing a danger to the line at Shap, Network Rail said.
Trains between Preston and Carlisle are currently delayed by 40 minutes.
