Police were called to Ainsworth Village after reports of an assault.
Officers were seen in the Church Street area at around 1pm and remained on the scene for more than an hour.

A GMP spokesperson said: "A male was assaulted, the offender was spoken to. There were no arrests."
Nearby residents said a police presence was common in the area.
