A pothole-ridden road is driving a group of neighbours to distraction, with some blaming the state of the road for "making their houses shake".
Residents on Sandown Avenue, Whitefield, and adjoining Ripon Avenue, say they have had to pay out hundreds in repairs in damage to their cars which they say is caused by potholes and damaged road surface on their street.
They say the council have made repairs to the road in the last year but the work has not remained in place, and the road has continually become damaged.
They added that people on the street have even tried to repair it themselves.

Jackie Taylor, 55, who lives on Sandown Avenue, said the road has been “patched-up” instead of properly repaired which is causing the damage to return.
She said: “I’m a bit more concerned now because when traffic is going past and the house is shaking."
Jackie is concerned about the structural integrity of the road.
She said: “I think, because they keep patching, and patching and patching, we’re going to end up in a sinkhole.”
She added that she believes the last time the council came to fix the problems was about a year ago, but the damage has since returned.
Residents say material used to repair the road has come loose and has caused damage and scratching to cars.
Jackie added: “My friend came round the other week then the grit cracked her windscreen.
“I think the whole road needs to be shut and the council need to lift it up and see how deep it really is and properly surface it.
“It's just going to be an ongoing thing. Whatever they are using it's just not working because within a week, when it rains, it's all sunk again.”

A council spokesperson said it had some pothole repair work outstanding which will be completed over the next month.
in addition, the council are investing £30m on road repairs as part of its highway investment programme, which began last year and is set to continue this month.
The council says 30 roads across the borough will be resurfaced and a further 75 will receive “preventative treatment.”
