A 184-year-old music society will be holding a joyous concert to celebrate coronation music over the years.
The Bury Choral Society, will perform their concert "REJOICE! Coronation music through the ages" on Saturday, May 20 at Bury Parish Church from 7.30pm.
Founded in 1838, it is one of the country’s longest-established choral societies and has a mixed-voice adult choir, with around 70 amateur singers.
The musical director of the group will be Royal Conservatory of Madrid-trained Juan Ortuño and tickets for the concert are priced at £12 or £6 for students.
The society meets in a small informal group at 7.30pm on Tuesdays during June and at Holy Trinity CE Primary School on Cecil Street during July.
