A hunt is on to find a wanted man who is on recall from prison and in breach of his licence.
Greater Manchester Police reported on Thursday afternoon that Ian Stewart, 67, was wanted and appealed for anyone who may have seen him to come forward.
According to officers, Stewart has links to Bolton, Bury and Radcliffe and as such could possibly be found in any of these areas.
A police spokesperson said: “Have you seen wanted Ian Stewart, 67?
“He's wanted on recall to prison and breach of licence and has links to Radcliffe, Bury and Bolton.
“Anyone who may have any information or knows his whereabouts is asked to call 0161 856 2249.”
An image of Stewart supplied by police shows that he is of relatively slight build with short white hair.
No further information about Stewart’s possible whereabouts have yet been released but members of the public are advised not to approach him if they sight him but instead to immediately contact police.
As well as the phone number supplied by police, members of the public can also report sightings of Stewart online by going to Greater Manchester Police’s online portal.
