A PRESTWICH teenager is celebrating after achieving four A*s in her A-level results.
Holy Cross student Eleanor Wolstenholme, aged 18, was one of 11 students at the Manchester Road sixth form who attained four A*/A grades.
The former Parrenthorn High School said: “I was shocked, but I worked hard so was expecting to do quite well. I’m proud and really happy with my results.”
Eleanor had taken A-levels in drama, sociology, psychology and biology, and although she initially applied to read biology at Sheffield University, she says she is now hoping to take a gap year to go travelling instead.
“I don’t want to jump into university and regret it,” she said.
“I’m interested in genetics and genetic engineering, but I also like music and performing, so I just want to take the year to figure out what I want to do."
