A POPULAR food-delivery app is expanding into Bury.

Uber Eats is expanding into Bury town centre and Whitefield from tomorrow lunchtime so hungry workers will be able to get their favourite food straight to their desk.

Toussaint Wattinne, general manager of Uber Eats in the UK, said: “We have been blown away with how popular the app has been in Greater Manchester so we’re really excited to be expanding further into Bury and Whitefield.

"People can now get great food at the touch of a button delivered straight to their home or office. We have partnered with plenty of restaurants, so we hope there will be something for everyone’s tastes.”

The app uses the same cashless system Uber taxi app users will be familiar with to deliver tasty treats from stores like McDonald's, Frankie and Benny's and Taps & Tables.

People in Bury and Whitefield can download the Uber Eats app and order local favourites on their smartphone, it is available for Apple's iOS and Android, or by visiting ubereats.com online.
