CANDIDATES have been declared for the local elections in May.

The local elections for one third of Bury Council's 51 seats take place on Thursday, May 3.

Residents must be registered to vote before April 17 to be able to vote in these elections, this can be done at gov.uk/register-to-vote online and takes about five minutes.

The deadline to apply for a postal vote is April 18, to apply for one call the council's elections office on 0161 253 5252 or send an email to electionservices@bury.gov.uk
