POLICE: Ian Foster, who went missing on March 16
POLICE have said they are no longer looking for Ian Foster after a man's body was found in a river in Whitefield.
Officers were called to Whitefield Golf Club on Tuesday just before 1.20pm to reports a man's body had been found in a river flowing through the course.
The force's Underwater Search Unit accompanied officers to the golf club in Higher Lane and a man's body was recovered.
Enquiries into his death are now ongoing.
Last week Ian Foster, aged 48, of River Street, Radcliffe was reported missing, he was last seen Friday, March 16 on Higher Lane.
His disappearance was described as out of character by his family.
