THERE has been some spring cleaning at a local produce society.
Incredible Edible Prestwich and District has decided to become a community benefit society.
Incredible Edible members voted on Tuesday evening to change the nature of their group in a bid to allow the organisation to grow and to gain access to more resources.
The group's secretary, Mark Lockwood, said: "We're very pleased with the decision and are looking forward to developing and expanding Incredible Edible within our community."
The change to a community benefit society means the group can improve the way it works and start a new membership scheme.
Incredible Edible was started in Prestwich in 2010 by a group of people keen to develop a community approach to the growing and eating of local food.
