COMMUTERS could face difficulties this morning as bad weather persists across the North West.
A yellow warning is still in place after the Met Office warned travel was likely to be affected by snow, ice, heavy rain and high winds up to 11am.
Gusts of up to 50mph and up to 6cm of snow are expected in some parts of the North West.
Gritters were out across the region last night and this morning.
People have been urged to plan ahead before making any journeys in the area.
More snow has also been predicted for Friday morning and temperatures at the weekend could drop to as low as minus two.
