PICTURESQUE scenes of Bury in all four seasons are showcased in the scenic Bury 2018 calendar which is on sale now.

The full colour calendars are available from the Bury Tourist Information Centre in the Fusilier Museum and are often bought as gifts and sent far and wide around the world.

All the photographs, capturing some of the borough’s many beauty spots, have been submitted by local photographers.

The front cover was taken by Wendy Power and showcases Whitehead Gardens in Bury, next to the town hall.

Other photographers featured in the calendar are Maurice Clegg, Philip Johnson, David Fowler, Joan Platt, Peter Taylor, Dorothy Bullough, Ian Dowthwaite and Brian Connor.

Their work depicts scenes at Elton Reservoir and the River Irwell, Holcombe Hill and Radcliffe canal towpath, plus the East Lancashire Railway, The Met and Peel Tower.

Christmas cards are also on sale at the centre to raise money for good causes.
