POWER has been restored to 1,139 homes in Prestwich after they were cut off for safety reasons by Electricity North West this morning.
All homes were returned to power by just after 2pm, although the company had expected engineers to have supplies restored for midday, but were delayed due to unexpected circumstances.
The incident, caused by a fault at the area substation, occurred at 7:20am.
