I NOTE that Doris Vole has once again resurfaced in the Opinion column — "Legacy of economic misery".

Rather like her creature namesake whose vision is somewhat restricted due to its head being buried in the sand, Ms Vole seems to have forgotten that it wasn't the Tories who overspent and bankrupted the country.

Nor was it the Tories who decided to leave the tax payer with, using Ms Vole's phrase, 'a staggering bill required to bail out the private banking sector'.

It was, of course, Labour who made these decisions and then left the Tories to sort the problems left behind.

Should Mr Corbyn ever be elected as prime minister, heaven forbid, history will simply repeat itself.
