AN ATTACKER lured his victim to a house, stripped him naked, cut and threatened to sexually assault him.

At Minshull Street Crown Court Jordan O'Reilly was one of three men sentenced for a series of offences.

Jordan Mark O'Reilly, aged 21, of Stand Lane, Radcliffe, was sentenced to 32 months imprisonment for causing actual bodily harm, affray and breach of a court order.

The court heard how O'Reilly had been involved in an altercation with his victim on October 2 last year.

Judge Bernadette Baxter said: "You then rang him and pressured him to come back to the house where it had started, thinking all was well and trouble had dissipated, unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

"You strip him naked, threaten to kill and cut him. You do cut him and cause significant injury to his face. You effectively sexually assaulted him, in the manner you humiliated him.

"In a naked and terrified and injured state he ran upstairs to get help from the lady whose house you were in.

"The evidence of your brutality was there in the kitchen, there was blood all over the kitchen.

"You don't have an element of remorse."

The court heard how O'Reilly had then sent his victim threatening messages to try and stop him from going to the police.

Judge Baxter was told how O'Reilly had also committed an affray in Balmoral Grange, Prestwich on November 19 last year, along with Kye Liddle, aged 26, of Lord Street, Radcliffe, and Oliver McNabb, aged 28, of Alexandra Avenue, Whitefield.

Judge Baxter said: "It seems to be over some girl or ex-girlfriend. You go round mob handed in a group containing a bladed article."

Michael Knowles, prosecuting, how the Hughes family had been assaulted and Judge Baxter described them as 'behaving like a pack of wild animals'.

Liddle and McNabb were also part of a group who took part in a second affray on August 18 last year when they went to a man's home in Alexander Drive, Bury, after McNabb had exchanged threats with him earlier that day.

The court heard that children were present and a 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, hit the victim with a baseball bat and a baby gate was also used as a weapon.

Judge Baxter said: "You went round to this man's house where children were present — a baby gate was one of the weapons. A baseball bat was swung and a very frightening scene unravelled in these children's own home."

McNabb was jailed 18 month prison sentence for his part in the crimes.

Liddle received an 18 month suspended prison sentence. Judge Baxter said his lack of previous convictions gave her the opportunity to suspend his sentence.

She added: "I am giving you a chance."

Liddle will be subject to a 7pm to 7am curfew for three months, must undergo 12 months of drug treatment and participate in 15 days of rehabilitation activities.
