THE VICTIM of a car break-in has appealed for the safe return of a a portable hard drive.
Richard Benjamin, aged 45, of Oakdale Close, Whitefield, awoke at 7.30am on Wednesday November 11 to discover that his black Range Rover had been broken into.
Thieves stole the drive, which contains Mr Benjamin's treasured family photographs from when his three children were young, from a compartment beneath an arm rest.
He has offered a £500 reward for anyone who returns the item.
"Whoever broke in has probably thrown it away realising that it's worthless, but if they held on to it and can return it or if someone has found the drive anywhere nearby, it would mean a lot for it to be returned."
Anyone with information can call police on 101 citing crime reference number 202210U/15.
