Suzanne Hall, head of media at the North Road school, said: “As an ex-pupil Paul came in to talk to our Year 7’s about football and his career.
“A lot of the year, both boys and girls, are keen footballers and he spoke to them about reaching for the stars, aiming high and just going for it.
“He did a question an answer session afterwards and the students asked him about he how got into football and what life as a professional football was like. Paul was really good. He was brilliant talking to the children and he spent a lot of time with them.”
