A FRESH appeal for information has been launched after a 22-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured.

DJ Scott Cadwallader remains in intensive care in Manchester Royal Infirmary after a crash at the junction of Wash Lane and Fir Street at 7.35pm on Tuesday, July 29.

Mr Cadwallader suffered serious chest and leg injuries including 12 broken ribs in the collision, which involved his black Honda motorcycle and a silver Seat Arosa.

Police say their investigation is ongoing and are appealing for eyewitnesses who have not yet come forward to do so immediately.

PC Steve Beech, from the Greater Manchester Police (GMP) serious collision investigation unit, said: “The motorcyclist remains very seriously ill and our investigation into the collision and the circumstances leading to it are ongoing.

“Eye witness accounts always provide crucial assistance and I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the movements of either vehicle in the moments leading up to it to call us.”

A fundraising night to support Mr Cadwallader is being held tonight at The Turf pub in Wash Lane, where he worked as a DJ for the past 18 months.

The evening includes music and a buffet and starts at 8pm with entry free. Children are welcome until 9.30pm.

Anyone with information should call the serious collision investigation unit on 0161 856 4742.
