A PENSIONER accused of slashing a neighbour’s throat has been cleared of trying to contact a prosecution witness.
William Dutton, aged 89, of Breightmet Drive, Breightmet, was charged with breaking a bail condition by speaking with a prosecution witness on July 2 in Bolton.
He was found not guilty of the charge at Bolton Magistrates Court.
Dutton was granted bail to appear at Bolton Crown Court on August 11 to face a charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to cause neighbour Steven Waring, aged 60.
