NEW information has been released by police investigating the death of a reveller at Parklife Festival in a bid to track down his killer.

Police have issued a photograph of the area where they believe Robert Hart was assaulted, and are urging people who believe they were there at the time to send any pictures or videos they may have taken.

Robert, aged 26 from Macclesfield, was dancing with his girlfriend, Gemma Parry, in front of the main stage at about 9.15pm on June 7 when he was attacked and punched — once in the head, and possibly a second time in the chest.

It is believed Robert was attacked after being involved in a row when Gemma was hit with an inflatable doll. He died days later.

Witnesses have suggested to police that the man police are looking for was not alone, and that he was shepherded away from the area following the attack.

Police say they are looking for a woman who dragged the man away following the incident, who was wearing a pink top with a dark jacket over the top.

She is described as white with blonde, shoulder-length hair, standing around 5ft 7in and about 20-23 years old.

Police say they were also with a man, described as white, 6ft 1in, and wearing a dark jacket.

Robert’s attacker is described as a mixed race male in his late 20's and about 6ft 1in, with a muscular build and short, dark hair which was shaved at the sides.

Police are still offering a £20,000 reward for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of Robert’s killer.

Detective Inspector Richard Eales, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "Several witnesses have pointed towards the fact that this man was at the festival with other people, notably the girl we have described today.

"We want people who were in the area at around the same time of the attack to send in your photographs and video footage.

"There is a strong chance that the person we are looking for, or the people he was with, could be in the background of those pictures or footage and that may prove invaluable to our investigation.

"I am now appealing directly to the man responsible, the girl who was with him and any other friends that might have travelled to the festival with them: come forward.

"We are currently looking through thousands of pictures, hundreds of hours of CCTV and mobile phone footage and more are being sent to us all the time.

"There remains a £20,000 reward in place for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man responsible."
